First
Verse
The beads on the wine in our glorious youth
And life's full of
fervor and zest, And the world is made bright by the light
of a
smile, Or the sound of the voice we love best. There's a thrill
of delight in the touch of her hand, All the Earth's bubbling
over with joy; Oh! the love that we give to the girls that
we
love, When we're boys, boys, boys.
Second
Verse
There are various way that a fellow may
love And most of us
sample them all, And the older and stronger you are when it
strikes, The harder and deeper you fall. But there's no love
on earth that holds half the thrill, No love that has half
the
joys As love that we give to the girls that we love, When
we're
boys, boys, boys.
Chorus
When love is young in Springtime, And boys
are youthful, too
And girls are so alluring What can a fellow do? A look, a
smile, a dimple, You're caught, you're captured, stung
There's danger in the very air When love is young.

First
Verse
I'm upset now let me tell you
why, Our old cat sneaked away,
upon the sly My old Ma declares it is a sign that bad luck's
coming, and two to one it's mine! I've been wond'ring who
I am
to blame for sneaking the bacon and the brawn and the can
of
milk and beef steak pie, When they're missing on a Sunday
morn!
Second
Verse
Every night,
as soon as we're in bed, All his old pals gather
overhead; Gently calling for hime to come out and play a game
of leapfrog 'round the gutter of the spout. In despair, I
went to
the police, They told me not to feel so blue, He might turn
up in
a penny mince pie or With his wife, in a day or two!
Chorus
Has anybody seen
our cat? Has anybody seen our cat? He's got
a bit o'black on the end of his tail and the skin all off
where
he's been fighting. Last Sunday morning we miss'd him from
the mat: - Puss, puss, puss, puss, meat, meat, meat! Has
anybody seen our cat?

Verse
'Twas a bright and sunny day,
when a young wife went away
from her husband, who had wrung her heart with pain. On the
table lay a note with the simple words she wrote: "Good
bye! I
hope we'll never meet again." Unto her mother she returned
The home for which she'd often yearned for every spark of
love
for him and fled; There he sought her out at last with
repentance for the past, But her mother met him at the door
and
said:
Second
Verse
"I have
come to say goodbye," said the husband with a sigh,
"Just let me take her to my heart again." But the
mother said:
"Too late: All her love has turned to hate, So go your
own way,
your pleadings are in vain. "She is my wife!" the
husband cried,
"You shall not take her from my side The law forbids
you part
us we are wed!" "But you've broken every vow, she
is yours no
longer now, My daughter shall not go!" the mother said.
Chorus
She was happy till
she met you, and the fault is all your own, If
she has come to her old mother just because there is no other
She'll be happy in her own sweet home.

How glad they're
goin' to be to have your company ALtought you'll find no fancy

What mother thinks of you My friends are waiting too they're
all expecting you Because I wrote them all about you, Now
I can't
go home without you, Don't be bashful come on to Nashville,

First
Verse
I gave you all my heart and soul, What have
I in return? A little
smile, a little kiss, and memories that burn. You've shown
me
just what life could be, My heart has heard love's call; But
if I
can't have all your love, Then give me none at all!
Second
Verse
I cherish every thought of you, Your love
is all I need; Somehow I
always crave for you, My love has turned to greed. How sweet
and
happy are the hours, when I sit by your side; The love I get
is not
enough, and I'm not satisfied!
Chorus
Can't get enough of your kisses, I'm counting
the few that you
gave; I gloat all the while over each little smile That made
me
forever your slave. I save every letter you send me, I hide
them
where no one can see; And the less love you give me, the more
love I crave; You're making a miser of me!

First
Verse
The Chinese tell a story that's full of
mystic glory, of the Orient,
a tale of wonderment; by the temple walls, each night, they
burn a
red, red lantern bright, to their ancient warrior maid they
pray.
Second
Verse
From English sire descended her blood with
China blended, eyes
of Saxon blue, skin of yellow hue; at the call of war's command,
her heart turned to her Motherland, ever more they honor her
and say.
Chorus
Shine on Red Lantern, through the gloomy
night, Over fields of
white, Shine on Red Lantern, over poppies bright, where she
sleeps tonight, While temple bells to the God of war is calling,
While thru the moonlight the yellow dragons crawling, Come
with sword in hand, save your China land, Shine on Red Lantern,
send your silver beams, Over hills and streams, Shine
on Red Lantern till the morning gleams, Wake her from her
dreams, Sound the tom tom till they come, Beat the cymbal
and
the drum, Shine on Red Lantern shine on.
