First
Verse
A winsome little maid in an everglade With
her soldier
boy in blue Maiden softly sighs lovelight in her eyes,
For she loves him fond and true Boy has come to tell girl
he loves so well, Duty calls him far away Maiden is in
tears for his life she fears Then she hears him softly say
Second
Verse
The war is over now boy has kept his vow
Nothing can
their love destroy They are not alone in their little home,
There's a bouncing baby boy Happy is their lot, trouble
they forgot As they stand behind his bed Oft when stars
shine bright they recall the night When to her he softly said
Chorus
Don't you worry Dearie Dearie don't you
sigh See the moon
is smiling In the deep blue sky Soon I'll be returning
Then I'll claim my own Wedding bells will gaily ring,
And the birds will sweetly sing, Little girlie when I come
back home.

First
Verse
In a barnyard far away, All the fowls assembled
on a
summer day; Just to give a barnyard dance, Tried to put
the farmers in a barnyard trance. All the rubes for miles
around, Came to see them shuffle there upon the ground.
Second
Verse
Old Si Jones in overalls, Always won the
ribbon at the
barnyard balls; Came that day with Aunt Suzanne,
Frisky as a bullfrog in a fryin' pan. Said, "By Gosh,
just
turn me loose," Crack'd his heels together yellin', "Come
on, Suze."
Chorus
All the old hens cackled and the young ducks
quacked,
And the rooster all began to crow; The little chickens stood
there in a row, "Keep your feet a-movin'," you could
hear
the farmers yell, And the old cow hid behind the old
hay stack, But the pigs just grunted kind o' low; As they
stood there lookin' at the show, When the turkey in the
straw danced the chicken reel.

First
Verse
When the shades of night are
falling Tennessee, I hear you
calling; My thoughts just roam Back to home, sweet home.
Every day my heart grows fonder, Of the folks I left down
yonder; I wonder when I'll be there again.
Second
Verse
Every dream
and every vision, SImply strengthens my
decision; To go back home Never more to roam. When
I hear the 'Swanee River' My poor heart begins to quiver;
It's then I miss Mammy's goodnight kiss.
Chorus
I wanna be in Tennessee
in my Dixie paradise, An angel's
voice I hear, I mean my mammy, dear. I'd give my soul if
I could stroll down among those hills again; For all the
world would not be dreary then. I'd love to go to sleep and
know, that tomorrow I'd arise, Beneath those Southern
skies, Where song birds harmonize. Lawdy hear my plea,
Make me what I wanna be; A rolling stone just rolling
home to my sunny Tennessee.
